Chess is a unique game. It requires a lot of concentration and sharpness of mind. It takes a lot of training and incredible cleverness to carry out lightning-fast battles.

Chess – a game for everyone

Chess is very popular and in many countries. In Poland there is no shortage of lovers of this unique logical game. One should know that chess is not a simple game. It takes a lot of training to master the fluent movement of pieces and pawns. Only a few people reach the grandmaster level. Do not be discouraged. Not everyone can become a sports chess player, but there’s nothing to prevent amateur play with friends. A chess board costs around several dozen zlotys. Of course, there are also more expensive ones, especially those with hand-hewn pawns.

Both children and adults can play chess. Everyone has a chance to fall in love with the game, provided, of course, that he learns and understands the rules. A game without knowledge of the rules is doomed to failure. If you want to succeed in chess, it’s not enough to learn how certain pieces or pawns can move around the board. The whole game is much more complicated. You need to focus on planning the right tactics and also on figuring out your opponent as quickly as possible. The player who makes the first mate wins.

Why is it worth playing chess?

Playing chess greatly develops the mind. By practicing chess, you can learn to think logically and plan your next moves. In this way, strategic thinking skills are practiced. Some people play chess for company, others to kill boredom. There are also those who are fascinated by the intricacies of the game and want to learn as many systems as possible so that they can stand up to even a strong opponent in the game.

How to learn to play chess?

To learn how to play chess, one thing you’ll need is an angel’s patience – there are no shortcuts. You need to practice systematically, play regularly and learn new combinations of moves. An excellent memory comes in handy so that you don’t forget anything.

If you want to learn to play chess, you can join a local chess club. If one of your friends has already mastered the basic skills and is willing to share them with you, that’s great.

But there is also another way to gain knowledge, and that is through books. If you don’t have anyone to play with and feel the lack of a partner (some people like to play with themselves), you can always try playing chess online. This is a sure alternative to traditional gameplay. The plus is that you can set any difficulty level you want.

How to make the fastest possible mate?

Many people will be surprised to learn that the fastest chess mate is possible in just two moves

. It even has its own, quite specific, name. This way of winning the game is called “fools’ mate”. Why is it called that? Well, every loss in chess is a consequence of some earlier decisions. If someone is able to lose after only two moves, he either doesn’t know the rules of the game, doesn’t know how to defend, or simply isn’t one of the brightest chess players.

It’s worth knowing how to make such a defeat. You never know when you will have a chance to play against an opponent weaker than yourself. Knowing how to carry out a “fools mate”, you are able to close the game in no time. However, there are a few conditions:

– the game always starts with white pawns, the player moves with pawn f;
– black activates e pawn, thus opening the hetman;
– white pawns move g two spaces forward;
– the black hetman jumps to h4, and the kill is ready.

It’s worth remembering this sequence of moves. Even if you don’t have the opportunity to use it, there’s a chance that you won’t make basic mistakes at the beginning of the game and thus not give the game to your opponent for free.
